Job Title: Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer – Rolling Stock

ATA are currently working with a rolling stock company that provides refurbishment and re-traction projects, new technology drives as well as others.

Our client specialise in the timely delivery of trains that are modified to new standards, ensuring their clients receive the highest quality delivery of refurbished fleets of trains. The Candidate:

You will have experience of electrical engineering in a senior or principal capacity and have extensive rolling stock experience. You will be an expert in your field and must have a good understanding of modern rail vehicle technologies. You will be a mentor, a leader who can demonstrate a desire to ‘get the job done’, making sure no stone is unturned and no corners are cut. If you are a strong-willed, determined individual, you may well be what our client is looking for.

The Role:

You will have expert knowledge of UK Railway Group Standards and railway related EN standards. As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team who can think outside the box. You will liaise with design teams and manufacturing teams to deliver better performance on the specific class of trains. You will use your System Integration experience to help improve performance and efficiencies on traction, braking and sanding systems.

Requirements:

• Experience on DMU and / or EMU’s
• Minimum of HNC/HND qualification
• Will be required to pass PTS and D&A / medicals

• Immediate availability

Rate of Pay: Up to £55 per hour for 40 hours per week. Must be available for overtime if required
