As an Asset Engineer Drainage, your main responsibilities would be:
- Provide engineering input to the specification and management of Drainage inspection, examination and maintenance. Investigate and resolve technical and quality issues with suppliers
- Provide input into the development and implementation of asset management policies, standards and specifications to manage Drainage assets to the required level of safety and capability in accordance with business objectives
- Identify requirements for inspection and examination of Drainage assets and undertake evaluation and assessment of the outputs, in accordance with functional policy, systems and standards. Monitor compliance against requirements of standards and risk assess any deferred activities
- Identify the requirement for maintenance activity of Drainage assets and develop technical specifications for the works, providing direction to the maintenance delivery function as required
- Monitor trends in asset condition, maintenance works, failure rates and precursors, and implement actions to predict and prevent similar failures from occurring and participate in investigations of incidents
- Input into the development of the route assurance plan and undertake asset verification and other assurance activities to confirm that asset management activities are being undertaken in accordance with functional policy, systems and standards
- Direct the implementation of monitoring systems and undertake the review of monitoring results and other control measures
- Input into the development of maintenance, renewal and enhancement plans, providing the prioritised investment work bank for Drainage assets, for inclusion in the route business plan
- Input into the development of route requirements and the project development, implementation and handover for renewal and enhancement works to realise the required outputs
- Maintain Drainage asset data and information within the company systems and processes
You’ll have relevant experience in:
- Knowledge of engineering policies and standards relating to Geotechnics, Drainage and Environment
- Experience of drainage design
- Experience of Geotech, Drainage and Environment asset management activities.
- Knowledge/experience in environmental management and sustainability, including biodiversity and landscape management
You will also have these Qualifications/Skills:
- Chartered Engineer
- Full driving licence due to travelling between sites
