Assistant System Engineer in Radlett, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
An exciting opportunity for a junior engineer to join a tier one contractor in the railway as an assistant system engineer. You will working directly with the system engineers to support the delivery of the system engineering functions
Responsibilities
Support the introduction / development / sustaining of products, tools or processes within the business including requirements capture, planning, specifications, design, implementation, testing, verification and validation activities and roll out.
It will also ensure that tools and processes remain fit for purpose and enable continuous improvement of them by leading regular reviews and proactively suggesting and implementing improvements.
Essential:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
One or more of the following
- Knowledge of system engineering processes (including requirements management and V&V)
- Working knowledge of software development processes
- Electronic & Electrical Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Electronic Workshop Skills
- PC and networks administration
- Knowledge of railways
Desirable:
- Experience in a similar role within a Signalling/Systems Environment
- HND level or above in an Engineering related subject
