We are currently working with a leading consultancy whom are ever-expanding there Geotechnical Engineering capabilities are currently looking for an Associate Director within their Geotechnics team being based in either there Birmingham, York or Manchester office. This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer whom is currently working as Principal Geotechnical/Civil Engineer level looking to make a step up, or a current Associate looking for a fresh challenge.
Within the position you will lead and direct teams of geotechnical and geo-environmental engineers, engineering geologists and civil engineers and technicians on a variety of projects and providing leadership or technical input. You will also act as line manager to team members and develop, lead and advise on personnel development and technical delivery. This isnt just a technical role, but you will also be responsible for growing a team, working with clients and winning work.

Principal Job accountabilities
- Manage deliverables within the group in quality and direction.
- Delivery of geotechnical design for project and detailed design requirements
- Take a Lead Engineer and CRE role on Projects
- Take a lead role in development of Client contact and work streams within Rail, Energy and Building projects (in partnership with the Geotechnical & Geo-environmental Team Leader)
- Monitor project performance against contracts/project quality plans and take necessary corrective action if requirements
- Significant geotechnical engineering design and site experience at Lead Designer and Management Level
- Thorough understanding and application of Eurocode and standards within the UK
- Must be a charted engineer (ICE) or chartered geologist (CGeol)
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the geotechnical aspects of civil engineering design and construction principles and standards
