A leading Engineering consultancy based in Manchester, who also have a global presence are currently looking to expand by looking for an Associate Highways Engineer to join their Manchester office on a permanent basis.
Our client is looking for a Highways Design Engineer who has experience of leading design teams and resource management, as well as strong experience with leading civil engineering or multi discipline roles that are client focused. You will require a minimum of 15 years of highway design experience as well as demonstratable previous highways design experience at an associate level whilst working towards DMRB standards. Further to this, our client requires knowledge of design softwares such as MX, WinDes and Civils3d, and demonstrable experience in the creation of detailed design drawings and specifications for tender and construction purposes. You will also be required to hold a degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) as well as a professional membership (CEng with MICE/ MIHT)

As an Associate Highways Engineer it will be your job to take responsibility for
- Ensuring all projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective way
- Reporting progress on ongoing projects
- Working with both public and private sector clients on this project
- Approving designs in accordance with DMRB
- Mentoring younger/Less experienced Engineers
- Follow codes of practice, health and safety legislation ETC.
