We have a new opportunity to work as an Associate Structural Engineer. The successful individual would ideally be Chartered, or near-chartered Structural Engineer. 

In the role, the primary aim would be to lead a small and growing consultany's designated Structures team in the Leicester region. The successful individual will be currently working at a Senior, Principal or Associate level and must have management or mentorship experience.

The consultancy specialises primarily in existing and new structures, with projects ranging from small domestic one-off builds, to large commercial projects. Sectors would include residentials, schools, churches/religious structures, offices and listed historical buildings.

Day to day activities would consist of supporting the Structures Director and company by leading the Structures Team and delivering projects to high standards, engaging with stakeholders, and ensure successful outcomes and profitability. You must have a confident and proactive approach to developing new clients and business, and be experienced and comfortable in a client facing position.

Furthermore, you must have excellent technical knowledge, particularly with analysis software and Tekla Tedds/Revit plus SCIA. You would have oversight and responsibility from initial feasibility stages, through detailed design and to final project delivery. As the Associate/Team Lead of the office, you will be expected to develop, supervise and manage junior staff, as well as play key roles in project management. 

The consultancy is open to levels of experience, however being Chartered, being near chartered, or having strong aspirations to become Chartered is very desirable. 


Job Description:

-          Have 7+ years experience
-          Be Chartered, or approaching CEng/MIStructE
-          Be proficient in Tekls Tedds, Revit, SCIA, CADS 3D MAX & AutoCAD
-          Have experience with Steel, Masonry, Timber, Concrete and Aluminium
-          Have direct experience in managing and leading a team
-          Provide development and support to junior engineers and technicians
-          Have experience in new build and historical/listed buildings
