The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to deliver day to day Engineering and Production support for projects, problem solving issues as they arise and provide a structured channel of communication across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who wishes to gain further exposure of a busy production and operations facility. You will be at the front end of engineering works and play an important role in ensuring lines of technical communication are accurately and correctly delivered.

Location (s): Mansfield

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide an efficient link between Engineering & Design to Production.
  • Gather requested information pertinent to projects and disseminate to parties as required.
  • Record information in a suitable and structured manner, ensuring information provided is clear, concise, accurate and well presented.
  • Follow up issues with pertinent departments to progress and complete actions as required.
  • Review / interpret technical documentation and drawings.
  • Produce technical / production documents.
  • Provision of technical advice as appropriate.
  • Document / report any issues and concerns with projects.
  • Ensure components / materials are to the correct technical standards etc.
  • Ensure correct processes are followed / adhered to.

The Candidate

The successful candidate needs to have some form of engineering qualification who can provide demonstrable technical knowledge and apply this in real-life situations. Strong communication skills are imperative as this role requires you to liaise cross-company from shop floor through the management.

You will need to demonstrate a strong working ethic and a willingness to progress and succeed, should you be able to do so, there are brilliant development opportunities to management level available to you and your career.

Essentials

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification e.g. HNC / NVQ
  • A good, structured approach to information gathering and dissemination.
  • Be able to record and recall information in a structured and presentable manner.
  • IT Literate - Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Be able to understand / interpret Engineering Drawings & Technical Documents.
  • Understanding of Quality Systems and Lean manufacturing.
  • Able to communicate at all levels of the business from shop floor up to Director level.
  • Able to build and develop both internal and external relationships.
  • Confident in their ability to influence decisions and question the current status quo.
