Salary: £39,960 per annum rising to £53,280 per annum

About the role:
We are looking to recruit an Engineering Depot Supervisor, in this role you will ensure that all requirements and targets are met on your depot with the movement, maintenance, fault finding, cleaning and repair of the rolling stock. This includes continuously reviewing and improving the production process and implementing best practice.
You will be reporting into the Production Manager and undertaking any work as required, subject to competence, you will be a leader of your team, leading by example and managing the shift to the highest of standard, ensuring your team are motivated and engaged at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
*Engage and lead your team
*Ensure the team work to authorised business requirements and specifications
*Check to make sure all work is carried out in an efficient and safe manner
*Ensure compliance with all working instructions, standards and rules and regulations
*Inspire the team for development, including self-management and accountability
*Liaise with the Co-Located Control to co-ordinate and deliver maintenance and train service requirements
*Manage rosters, attendance, and annual leave arrangements and undertake routine team and shift briefing
About you:
We are looking for highly motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals. To fulfil this your greatest strength will be an engaging leader with the ability to work as part of a team, you will also have strong electrical and mechanical skills. Applicants should have the practical ability and understanding of maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and/or machinery. You will be an excellent communicator and have good organisational abilities.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 - Electrical qualification and experience preferred
- Work as part of a team also and as an individual to achieve workload and show initiative where necessary
- Adhere to working and safety instructions
- Be flexible, versatile and have ability to successfully complete further competency training as required
- Good communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- It is desirable to have an IOSH Certificate and D32 Competency Assessor, or willing to qualify.
- It is desirable to have a understanding of COSSH safety related instructions
- Experience of leading or managing a team is desirable.
