As a Field Engineer you'll be supporting the employer by managing the interface between the designer/contractor and one or more Internal and external parties through design and Delivery. Responsible for overseeing the technical and quality aspects of project related construction, testing and commissioning activities for the Plumstead maintenance facility and stabling sidings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the custodian of the suite for documents and trackers used by the project teams to identify and manage 'Interface Works' that are on, or impact upon the relevant third party infrastructure or works.
• Providing the lead on aligning designs with technical requirements and reporting through joint working groups.
• Managing submittal trackers and expediting submittals through the delivery teams.
• Managing the Project Technical Requests interface with the third party.
• Acting as single point of contact for integration of design.
• Undertaking reviews as required of systemwide contractor technical submittals, (including method statements and work package plans to ensure integrated delivery
• Providing Field Engineering input to the RFI / NCR / FCD process and where directed seeking input from the Railway Systems discipline specialists.

About You!

• Knowledge of third party environment and relevant processes and procedures
• Engineering and construction knowledge within major infrastructure environment with experience of rail and or depot projects.
• Experience of managing complex internal and external interfaces.
• Understanding of Human factors issues which inform the design of train to depot infrastructure and operational use of depot facilities.
• Experience of major civil engineering projects.
• Experience of different form of contract.

Rate: Neg (inside IR35 and so any successful candidate will have to go via an umbrella solution)

Duration: 8+ Month contract
