Role: Geo-Environmental Engineer
Location: Birmingham

I am looking to speak with a competent Geo-Environmental Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist situated in the Birmingham area from either a consultancy or a site investigation contractor that has the drive to develop their consultancy, interpretation and project management skill set on a range of major commercial, industrial and brownfield development schemes.

My client is an SME Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental consultancy with a presence across the West Midlands (no travel) and will give you the chance to have a better office / site split. As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, will be situated within a well-established Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical team helping to deliver projects from start to completion.

As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, the role will develop you on a managerial and technical aspect including; Phase 1, management/delivery of Phase 2, the design of site characterisation studies, preliminary risk assessments generic and quantitative risk assessments for human health, controlled waters & ground gas, interpretative reporting and development of remedial strategies.

This opportunity also offers the chance to enhance your Geotechnical interpretation and design capabilities for foundations.

To proceed as a Geo-Environmental Engineer, it will be expected that you have the following:

• 1st degree in geology/engineering geology/geotechnics/geoenvironmental engineering or related geo-science.
• At least 1 year experience within the UK completing 2 site investigations, logging soil & rock samples & site monitoring.
• Ability to deliver reports on a factual and/or interpretive basis.
• Understand the process of delivering a Geo-Environmental or Geotechnical project's through site investigation stages.
• Have a full UK driving license.
