An excellent Geotechnical Engineer opportunity has come available for a rapidly expanding SME contractor / consultancy situated in the Glasgow area. You will be a vital part of the team having the opportunity to help build and develop the team!

I am looking to speak with a Geotechnical Engineer with extensive experience in ground investigations looking for an opportunity that will expose them to project management on a range of small to large scale development and infrastructure schemes.

Once feet are under the table, you will have the chance to project manage your own Geotechnical projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities will include designing / organising / supervising ground investigations, monitoring, liaising with clients and delivering technical reports on a geotechnical and contaminated land basis.

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you must be able to supervise site investigation activities (Inc Trial Pitting, Gas Monitoring etc.) whilst delivering factual reports and material management plans.

The ideal Geotechnical Engineer will have:

• Degree in a relevant Environmental Science/ Geotechnical Engineering discipline.
• Ideally a minimum of 1-year practical experience within ground investigations.
• You must have a working knowledge in current governing standards within the Ground investigation and Geotechnical supervision on site.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills to liaise with clients, suppliers and other team members
• Excellent training and mentoring will be provided for career development.
