Morson International are assisting a leading engineering consultancy that provides design, consulting, construction, and management services to a wide range of clients globally, in their search for a Highways Engineer to be based at their office in Staffordshire on a permanent basis.

Working on public realm improvements such as pedestrian and cycle schemes, you will have autonomy within your role and take complete ownership on the projects you work on including end to end project management, financial oversight and detailed design work.

Due to the scope of this role, it's likely that you will have worked in a similar role within a local authority and will certainly have a background in highways design.

Key Responsibilities for the role include:
* Production of highway designs including layouts, materials, construction details, calculations, drawings and documents
* Preparing technical reports, feasibility studies, RSA briefs, public correspondence and other written documents
* Working up Traffic Regulation Orders
* Undertaking site visits and inspections
* Attending meetings and discussions with elected members, the client and other designers
* Obtaining Statutory Undertakers information
* Attending Public Consultation events
* Providing support and progress updates to the Senior Engineer
* Liaising with other Engineers within the design team to ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards.
