Highways Resident Engineer - Armenia

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Highways Resident Engineer for the Construction Supervision of an on-going ADB Funded project in Armenia.

Opportunity:

My client is an International consultancy firm who are currently undertaking several major road schemes in the Balkans including construction supervision project. This is an urgent need for which an expert is required as soon as possible.

Responsibilities on the project:

As Resident Engineer you shall be responsible for supervising the construction of all elements including new road and bridge contract, involving road construction, gas, water, power and sewerage utilities relocation/construction, major bridge and underpass construction with retaining walls as roads go through built up areas. In addition, the successful expert shall be required to:

• Monitor Social and Environment experts to assist local population affected by works
• Advise Client on Claims, delays.
• Supervision of Design Sub consultants
• Monitoring health and safety plans of contractors
• Supervision of teams of local engineers/QS/Materials Engineers for works supervision.
• Approval of IPC's.
• Works supervision to ensure works carried out in accordance with Contract
• Quality assurance approval.
• Preparation of reports for client, weekly, monthly and others as required.

Key requirements for the role:

• University degree in Civil Engineering (civil works).
• 15+ years experience as Highways Team Leader/Resident Engineer for major international highway projects under FIDIC or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in management of projects through construction stages.
• Regional experience
• Meet ADB qualifying criteria (from a member country)

Language:

Fluent in English is essential but Regional language would be beneficial.

Salary Package:

The salary package shall be €9-12,000 per month
