Role: Methods Engineer
Location: Derby
Salary: To be disclosed on initial call
Hours: 37 per week

TXM Recruit are proud to be representing a key client for a role within their manufacturing site in Derby. We are currently recruiting for a permanent Methods Engineer to join their ranks to support their manufacturing teams to continue supplying the quality products that their customers have become accustomed too.


The Method Engineer will be responsible for managing the design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes which include tooling, manufacturing aids, means of control and associated manufacturing documentation.

Duties/Tasks

• Ensure QA documents are in place, PFMEA,PCP as an example.
• Production document creation (SOPS)
• Establish CAPEX, tooling, and human resource requirement.
• Supporting with supplier selection, quote reviews etc.
• Define technical specifications for machines, tools manufacturing aids etc.

Skills/Experience

• HNC in Engineering would be desirable.
• Knowledge of 5why, 8D and other problem-solving tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Knowledge of PPAP, APQP would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001.
