Ganymede Solutions are a primary supplier of engineering and technical personnel to Network Rail and several of their Tier 1 Contractors, supporting the safe and successful delivery of asset improvement and maintenance programmes around the UK.

Current requirements

We are currently recruiting for a number of roles around the UK;

Senior Technical Officer, £375 per shift, 6 shifts per week (with an 8-week rota)

Senior Technical Officer required to join a main contractor that specialises in Rail, Construction and Civil Engineering.

The role is office-based Monday to Friday and Site based at the weekends. Midweek work will involve creating work package plans, task briefing sheets and weekend prep for S&C renewals. Weekends will be focused on delivering stressing and handback tasks.

This is a rolling six-month contract, with potential of 5-6 years worth of work.

Senior Engineer, £450 per shift average of 4 midweek shifts & 1 weekend (extra shifts available where needed)

Senior Engineer required to join a main contractor delivering a mix of plain line and S&C renewals, alongside minor civils programmes as part of an asset management framework.

The role is office-based Monday to Friday and site based at the weekends. The role in midweek will involve creating work package plans, task briefing sheets and weekend prep. Weekends will be focused on delivery; you will need knowledge of dozers, laser levels, tamping, handback and stressing.

Long term contract with view to Permanent position.

Site Engineer, £400 per shift. Full time hours on a weekly rota

Site Engineer required to support Senior Engineer in the delivery of plain line and S&C renewals for a Rail and Construction main contractor.

The role will be mainly site based, focused on delivering pre-planned work.

The role requires the candidate to have either / both handback and stressing competencies, knowledge of tamping / dozers would be an advantage.
