You will be instrumental in the continuous improvement of Fleet Performance in Scotland.

This Global OEM provide expertise and technology in rolling stock, rail infrastructure, traffic solutions and infrastructure logistics to the UK transport industry.
ABOUT YOU
You will have a Rolling Stock background, and understand the fundaments of Train Maintenance and reliability.
With your analytical mind and attention to detail you will have the ability to monitor reliability trends in the fleet performance and develop improvement plans and proposals based upon root cause analysis and forecasted improvements. You will also be able to identify further opportunities to improve reliability and reduce life cycle costs of the fleet by application of RCM techniques
ABOUT THE POSITION
The role is to investigate all in-service delays and casualties for the fleet and liaise with internal departments and external suppliers in identifying root cause failures for defect systems and components
Produce detailed KPI reports, tracking and forecasting the performance of the fleet
Undertake any technical investigations as required by the Technical Manager and devise solutions to arising problems identified
Regular dialogue and meetings with the customer to attribute performance in accordance with the contract
Identify further opportunities to improve reliability and reduce life cycle costs of the fleet by application of RCM techniques
Provide mentoring to less experienced team members
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Significant Rolling Stock performance and reliability experience
Experience of train borne IT and knowledge of train control systems
Educated to HNC or degree standard, or relevant equivalent experience
Experience of using RCM and continual improvement frameworks
Experience in developing and monitoring key performance indicators
