A leading Engineering consultancy based in Luton who also have a global presence are current looking to expand their team by recruit a permanent Principal or Associate Highways Engineer to work on major projects.

As an Associate Highways Engineer it will be your job to take responsibility to ensure all projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective way whilst reporting progress on ongoing projects. You will be working with both public and private sector clients on this project as well as mentoring younger Engineers and ensuring that you are approving designs in accordance with DMRB. You will be efficient in using appropriate software such as MX, Open roads, Inroads and Civils3d and work with complete understanding of all relevant standards, making sure to follow codes of practice, health and safety legislation ETC.

Within the role you will be responsible for the project management of Highways and Infrastructure jobs which includes managing design and highway disciplines for projects as well projecting information and liaising with clients.

As either an Associate or Principal Highways Engineer this would be an excellent opportunity to join a leading Engineering consultancy. As mentioned, this role is based in Luton and so may also suit candidates in surrounding areas such as Stevenage, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Watford.

Job Requirements

• You will have a sound understanding of softwares such as MX and Civils3d
• Demonstratable experience of working towards DMRB standards.
• Ideally professional Chartered membership (CEng with MICE/MIHT).
• Experience in managing and mentoring Highway Design Engineer
• Experience in acting as the Lead Highways Design Engineer
