We are currently dealing with a large sized consultancy who are looking for a Principal Flood Risk Consultant to join their Leeds Flood Risk & Management Team on a permanent basis.

The suitable individual must have experience in leading the delivery and producing 1D and 2D designs of Water-based schemes, including flood, river, surface water, sewers and flood hydrology projects. You will also produce technical reviews with the aid of ICM, Flood Modeller, Tuflow, Hec-RAS, WINFAP etc. These reviews and reports will also include Flood Modelling and Hydrology Reports, Flood Risk Management Appraisals and Assessments, SUDS and Flood Risk Strategies.

In the role of Principal, you will also be expected to undertake business development activities, including the preparation and management of bids, cost estimations, risk assessments and the programming and coordination of resources.

Job Specification:
- Relevant Degree (Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering)
- Chartered (or working towards) of a relevant institution, e.g. CIWEM
- Extensive experience in hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller/Tuflow/InfoWorks
- Hydrological Analysis (FEH, WINFAP, ReFH2)
- GIS skills (QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo)
- Experience in writing technical and non-technical flood study reports
