WWe are currently working with a global design consultancy which specialises in urban environments, who are looking for a Principal Engineer to join their Highways Team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major brand, delivering safe, quality, sustainable and innovative highway design solutions for our clients.
 
The successful Principal Highways Engineer will work on a range of highway and infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership to the team throughout. Working alongside the Head of Engineering, you would ensure that the team has the required skills, knowledge and tools to undertake all aspects of highways design. You would also play a key role in project delivery by directing the team, liaising with project managers, and ensuring effective management and technical accuracy of individual teams.
 
The successful Principal Highways Engineer should have demonstrable capability in the design and detailing of national or local highway authority schemes, as well as proven experience in the managing of projects. The successful candidate should also have knowledge of planning and delivering major and minor highway schemes.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Principal Highways Engineer, or for an ambitious Senior Highways Engineer to progress within their career.
 
Job requirements:
-          Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
-          Membership of an appropriate professional body
-          DMRB & MCDHW experience
-          Sound knowledge of Bentley MX, and other industry standard software
-          Experience with S38 & S278 agreements
