We are searching for a Principal Telecoms Engineer to join is here at AECOM, undertaking the designs on multi-disciplinary Rail Systems Projects from both a operational telecoms and SISS.

As the Principal Engineer, you would be responsible for the Contractors Responsible Engineering duties on projects.

Role:

• Delivering Telecoms design as part of multi-disciplinary rail systems projects, both Operational Telecoms and SISS, at Contractors Responsible Engineering level
• Provide guidance on Operational Telecoms systems of all generations
• Ensuring the the highest standard of Telecoms design technical skills
• Collaborate in a number of differing consultancy environments and situations across the project lifecycle
• Maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members, with the ability to communicate at all levels and the demonstrated ability to have a senior role within a team
• Work within project budgets whilst maintaining the delivery of high-quality outputs
• Ensure commitment to delivery to internal and external clients, with the view towards timeliness, reliability, safety and accuracy of completed tasks
• Provide guidance on the SISS, including analogue and digital camera technologies, modelling of CCTV coverage, cyber security and SIDOS IP Networking, Voice over IP, CUCM and other related technologies
• Able to plan and lead lineside and station surveys with appropriate protection staff

Qualifications

• Holder of IRSE 2.1.115v4 Telecoms Designer license
• Institution membership; IRSE, IET etc
• Institution registration; IEng, CEng etc
• Telecoms Project Engineer competence (Quads signed off)
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) holder
• Engineering qualification; Degree, HND, HNC etc

Experience required:

• Experienced in the use of Bentley MicroStation
• Recognised Telecoms Design CRE
