My client a tier 1 global contractor in the rail industry is currently looking for a Requirement Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company who has high volumes of work coming through throughout the next 5 years. We are looking for an individual who has had experience in a Requirement Engineer capacity however this individual does not need to have first hand rail experience.

As a Requirement Engineer you will be performing the requirements management activities across the signalling project portfolio. The role has a multifunctional dimension implementing and supporting the project and design engineering teams with the requirements management throughout the project life cycle.

The Requirements Engineer shall be responsible for the following tasks:

• Liaise with the UK Requirements Management process correspondent and produce and/or maintain the project Requirements Management Plan.
• Create and maintain the project requirements in DOORS.
• Analyse the stakeholder needs and expectation to establish the requirements for the project or system.
• Ensure submitted entries are correctly populated and defined.
• Plan and facilitate requirement's coordination meetings, particularly between subsystems
• Verify that requirements and changes are clearly recorded with any supporting information that is documented and traceable
• Support the production of the verification and validation reports
• Confirm issues are being actioned / progressed
• Provide project requirements management progress report / KPI reports.

Essential:

Excellent communications, report writing, and IT skills (Microsoft office) are required. Ability to work within a changing environment, and to deadlines. Previous experience of working within a systems engineering process environment is preferred. Knowledge of V life cycle. Use of DOORS.
