Location: Home Based (with some travel to Harwell, Oxfordshire)

RWM are a public sector organisation established by government and responsible for planning and delivering geological disposal in the UK. For over 30 years we have been carrying out research and development into geological disposal. Working with the international scientific community on multi-million pound research programmes, sharing the latest advances and best practice. Today we work with the companies that produce radioactive waste to help them safely package their waste now so that it will be suitable to go into a geological disposal facility (GDF) in the future. We are geologists, chemists, community engagement specialists, engineers, programme managers, security professionals and physicists to name just a handful of the areas we work in. Together we are creating a safer future that will protect people and the environment from radioactive waste.
RWM is a subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, a public sector organisation tasked by the UK government with the safe and efficient clean-up of Britain’s civil nuclear legacy.
As a Requirements and Integration Support, your main responsibilities would be:
- Developing lifecycle characteristics, stages, approaches and concepts
- Developing a concept of operations and operational concepts from enterprise to system level
- Developing system requirements
- Architecture definition and development
- System engineering input to the technical programme and disposal system change processes.
- Preparation of internal technical notes for the Requirements and Integration function.
- Maintenance of the Requirements and Integration Information Assets Register and additions to the RWM knowledge capture spreadsheet.
- Intelligent customer review of RWM reports and contractor reports to RWM in areas of competence.
- Support capability development for digital information management
- Development of contract technical specifications for the function scope in line with the RWM near term work plan.
You’ll have:
- Strong systems engineering experience with broad systems use
- Experience in a highly regulated industry such as rail, energy or water
- Demonstrable communications and stakeholder management skills
- A problem solving mindset
- Previous experience with IBM DOORS
