Rolling Stock Engineers.

The role is to develop & write detailed Work Instructions (Strong Technical Writing Skills), based on OEM Rolling Stock Specifications, resolve technical issues with Principle Engineers or third parties, Validation of BOMs, Configure SAP Routings & BOMs, training of Operational staff, based on Work Instructions they have written.

Must be experienced in using
• Microsoft Word & Excel
• Ideally have Cad Experience
• Adobe Acrobat

The pay is fixed, as per the other Engineers, in XMS it is showing as £50.00 hr OUTSIDE IR35. The basic is 35 Hours per Week, but quite common to work more, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Typical they will be working on any of these Rolling Stock Work Streams:
• Overhaul of Bogies
• Overhaul of Braking Systems & other Sub-Components.
• Overhaul of Wheels Sets (Wheels, Axles, Gearboxes)
• Overhaul of Door Systems
• Overhaul of Motors, Alternators, Compressors, Fans etc
• Experience of AC Traction Systems

Ideally, we need experienced Rolling Stock Engineers, but would consider Aerospace Engineers depending on knowledge & Experience

We are looking for Rolling Stock Engineers. Mostly Mechanical but one or two with Electrical bias.

The role will require strong technical writing skills to produce:
• Detailed Work Instructions, based on OEM Rolling Stock Specifications
• Rolling Stock Concessions & and Change Requests
• Technical Requirement Specifications
• Scopes of Works

The role will be to resolve technical issues with Principle Engineers, Validate of BOMs, Configure SAP Routings & BOMs.
A good knowledge of CAD systems and engineering design principles, for the design of specialist tooling & fixtures.
Must be able to use Microsoft Word & Excel at an Advanced Level
The pay has a max limit of £50/Hr. The hourly rate is capped at £50 and there isn’t any option to increase this. The basic hours is 35 Hours per Week, but quite common to work more, but this cannot be guaranteed.
