STE02 Engineer in Home Based, Home Based, United Kingdom
Job Summary
You will be a Rail industry professional, joining a collaborative team of surveyors and engineers and servicing the HS2 project. Your geographic remit will initially focus on assets across the London area, extending outwards as the project grows. You will have strong knowledge of a variety of rail structures including stations, building and depots; interested in fulfilling ST02 reviewing duties in your role on a major, longterm project. If you also hold competancy as an STE06, this is also highly desired.

Experience Required
- 5+ years’ experience in a civil or structural engineering role
- Holder of Network Rail STE02
- STE06 experience highly desirable
- Degree or relevant qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Structural management, maintenance and inspection experience
- Examination experience across a range of assets i.e. bridges, stations, depots
- Delivering reports on time and within budget to the highest of standards
- Undertaking and checking reports and deliverables
- Report writing
- Experience within the rail structures is desirable along with STE02 competence
- Asset Management Software experience (desirable)
Role Requirements
- Reviewing structures examination reports
- Ensuring reports are compiled and submitted in accordance with requisite standards
- Raising recommendations on how to safely and sustainably manage the asset
- Assessing risks of structural defects and advising on prioritised actions in accordance with requisite standards and asset management policy
- Providing engineering support and participating in investigations of incidents relating to structures
- Liaising with other structures teams to develop and disseminate asset knowledge, consistent best practice and review and development of functional policy and standards
- Prepare or check technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments and method statements
- Have a good understanding of relevant Health & Safety Legislation, Codes of Practice & standards and current design methods
