Location: Home based, once a month requirement to visit Manchester office

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly for a major client organisation. This role is predominantly home-based, with an expectation for the successful candidate to visit the Manchester office once a month. The estimated hours per week for this role is 35.

The general responsibilities will include the review of structures, assessing risks of defects, and supporting the training and development of engineers. Previous experience of undertaking detailed inspections of bridges, structures, and tunnels within the rail sector is essential.

Due to the nature of this role, a valid STE2 competency is required for this opportunity, and evidence of this certification will be expected at interview stage. The ideal candidate will also possess the STE6 competency, or at least have a goal of obtaining this competency.

This role has been deemed inside IR35, with a rate range of £410 to £440 per day. This contract will last an initial 12 months with a likelihood to be extended thereafter.

Essential:
- Valid STE2 competency - must have proof/certificate evidence
- Experience of bridges and assessments within the rail sector
- Proven abilities in structures assessment, design, and construction.
