bout the Role:
Joint Venture Company Name is seeking a skilled and experienced Section Engineer to join our team working on the prestigious HS2 project in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering various aspects of the project, with a particular focus on Headhouse works, steel frame construction, sub-contract management, internal and external fit-out, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) integration.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery: Oversee and manage construction activities, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Headhouse Works: Lead the construction of headhouses, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Steel Frame Construction: Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures, coordinating with the design team and subcontractors.
Sub-Contract Management: Manage subcontractors, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines. Conduct regular progress meetings and performance reviews.
Internal/External Fit-Out: Coordinate and oversee the fit-out of buildings, both internally and externally, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications.
MEP Coordination: Integrate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into the construction process, ensuring seamless collaboration between trades.
Health & Safety: Promote and enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets the required standards and specifications.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements, issues, and mitigation strategies.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical and construction-related challenges promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil engineering projects, with a focus on Headhouse works, steel frame construction, sub-contract management, internal and external fit-out, and MEP integration.
Certifications: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) are preferred.
Skills: Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations in the UK. Familiarity with HS2 project standards and requirements is an advantage.
