Senior Engineer (Civils) required to work for Principal Contractor on the High Speed Rail London Tunnels Programme.

6 Month Contract Initially - Inside IR35
West London - Site Based Role

Senior Engineer (Civils) with experience working on major Rail/Infrastructure Projects for Main Contractor essential.

Senior Engineer role brief:
Management of resources within a section or area as designated by the Construction Manager.
Providing supervision, advice, and guidance to the members of the Construction teams and Sub-Contractors.
Ensure the progress of the works are in accordance with Processes.
Implement and assure compliance with all relevant and or statutory requirements with regards to Quality, Technical Assurance and Compliance within their scope of work.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimize their work contribution.
• Communicate to the Project Manager, QA and QS teams non-conformances and any instructions received from the client / designer / RE’s staff.
• Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with Client / Designer / RE / Project Team
• Ensure that inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works are being implemented and adhered to.
Manage and maintain records of all Quality and Technical Assurance documentations and assist Engineering team with the production, submission, and implementation of these documents.


Required Qualifications & Skills
• Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil
Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
• Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system).
• Relevant CSCS Card
• Knowledge and understanding of construction assurance processes through
experience and formal training.
