We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading technical infrastructure consultancy, who are looking for a Senior Engineer to join their Highways Design team in the Birmingham area. This is a great opportunity for a Highways Design Engineer to work on a major highways schemes such as the Midland Metro.
 
The successful Senior Engineer would be expected to undertake both design and project management work, liaising with projects directors and junior members of staff to deliver high standards of work. You would be expected to supply sound technical knowledge of design and highways issues, incorporating drainage and alignment elements. The Senior engineer would also be expected to prepare technical, commercial and progress reports of projects, for which they would responsibility.
 
The successful Senior Engineer should have experience of delivering highways projects either in the UK or overseas, as well as leading design teams to undertake highways projects. In order to effectively deliver within the role, the Senior Engineer should have experience in alignment, junction design, drainage, pavements, signs, or road markings.

Job requirements
-          Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
-          5 years post-graduate Civil Engineering experience
-          Excellent working knowledge of DMRB
-          Experience with Civils3D or equivalent
-          Experience with highways design software packages
