Senior Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer - Requirements Engineering

Our client is an Engineering consultancy that specialises in Systems Engineering for major Infrastructure Projects, working with organisations to reduce the risks associated with complex programmes and projects. We are looking for Senior Systems Engineers/Principal Systems Engineers to join us in our permanent staff positions with offices located across the UK, offering hybrid working arrangements. As a Senior/Principal Systems Engineer, you will be an experienced professional responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex systems. This role typically involves leadership responsibilities and advanced technical expertise.

Responsibilities: - Support the definition of project requirements, including acceptance criteria for the design and commissioning of works. - Validate the definition of design and requirements acceptance criteria for the design and commissioning of works. - Define and manage technical strategies for requirements, including standards and principles, to achieve and assure that the requirements have been met. - Provide technical assurance compliance of the verification and validation processes with internal and external stakeholders. - Manage requirements utilising DOORS / DOORS Next, or other client requirements management systems.

Requirements: - Degree qualified in an Engineering or relevant Scientific discipline. - Engineering background (Electrical/Mechanical/Systems). - CEng or progressing CEng professional registration. - Experience implementing requirements management using software such as DOORS/DOORS Next. - Experience in requirements management through the complete lifecycle of a project and associated approaches and techniques, ideally on a large infrastructure project within an industry such as Rail, Defence or Nuclear. - Understanding of best practises for substantiating requirements and progressing through the Verification & Validation cycle. - Risk management and control of requirements management tools and methodologies. - Delivery and assurance of integrated safety critical solutions within complex projects. - Ability to analyse complex data, draw effective conclusions, and rapidly produce outcomes and decisions. - Significant professional experience in systems engineering. - Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and collaborate effectively with other teams within the organisation.
