We are currently dealing with a major rail engineering company, who are looking to expand their systems team by recruiting a Senior Systems Engineer in London, Manchester, Reading, and Birmingham. This is a hybrid permanent role which will involve working on HS2. We are looking for experienced engineers who will be responsible for delivering high quality verification and management of interfaces as well as providing validation services to clients.
Your job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Being in a senior role you will be responsible for promoting your own safety, as well as colleagues and contractors by acting as a role model by complying with and applying safety requirements. You will also ensure all health, safety and environmental processes and controls are followed and you monitor safety certification, in addition to performing safety checks and implementing training plans.

Your job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring high standards of technical practice are met, including understanding relevant standards and codes of practice including BS/EN 50126/8/9, ISO/IEC 15288, ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010, CSM-RA and Railway Interoperability Regulation.
- Capturing, managing and validating requirements through the development of processes, as well as identifying ways to assess the quality of requirements.
- Ensuring there is a process to ensure traceability from clients needs to engineering requirements via an appropriate requirements structure.
- Leading on integration, interface and systems assurance activities and tasks associated with the complexity and risk of the project.
- Ensuring verification and validation systems are robust and that this is evidenced.
- Supporting the technical director to ensure overseas productions centres are aware of standards and guidelines.

To be considered for this job, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a chartered engineer
- Have knowledge and understanding of the DOORS Requirements Management System.
- Have experience within requirements engineering.
- Have experience of working within a systems engineering role within rail.
