Setting Out Engineer

Location: Coleshill, Birmingham

Rate: £300 – £340 Per Day (weekends and night working an option)

Duration: up until the end of 2022

Contract: (Inside of IR35) Via Umbrella PAYE

My client is looking for a Setting Out Engineer, preferable with experience of working on Rail based projects and confident in carrying out setting out/surveying on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting Out Using Surveying Equipment Such as Total Stations or GPS Equipment, For Works Such as Building Gridlines/ RC Works – Formwork & Falsework/ Levels for Ground Works & Landscaping
• Completing Inspections/Works Inspection Sheets on Quality of Works
• Design Co-Ordination – Technical Queries/ Reviewing Works Versus Relevant Standards
• Ensure All Work Complies with Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and The Requirements Of The Company Procedures
• Comfortable At Preparing/Reviewing Engineering Documentation Such as Task Briefing & Risk Assessments, Etc
• Assisting Senior Team Where Required
• Record Keeping – Site Diaries/Genie Belt/Document Uploading to Intranet

REQUIREMENTS:

• Worked In Similar Engineer Positions With a minimum of 2 Years of Experience
• Confident at Setting Out
• CSCS Card
• PTS (ideally but not required)
• Previous Rail project experience would be ideal (but not required)
