Software Engineer

Based in Chippenham

Contract Position, Full-Time

£450 – 550 per day (outside IR35)

The Role:

Our client is looking for a Software Engineer to join their Chippenham based product development team. The successful candidate will be experienced in the full life cycle of software development and have a track record of delivering all aspects of Software Engineering from concept to delivery.

The role will allow for some home working, but the nature of the industry requires development and testing on target hardware. The client also works on safety level systems. These require them to maintain a level of oversight of work, as well as to work on the target hardware, which is physically located onsite. On this basis, we ask that applicants can be in the office regularly/daily as required.

Requirements:

• Proficient in UML, OO, C++, C#
• Experience of Unit Testing
• 5 years’ experience of delivering systems in a controlled software environment
• Experience of developing Safety Critical Software
• Experience with DOORS
• Railway Industry background
