Job Title: Stores Operative - (Engineering Depot)

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Contract Length: 6 months initial contract

Wanted! We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Stores Operative who has experience of working in an Engineering Depot, Warehouses, Stores Sheds or a similar environment”

The Company

Our client is a specialist in vehicle building, electrical installations, overhaul and servicing of Rolling Stock where they work closely with a variety of well-known clients throughout the UK. Currently going through a high recruitment drive they are winning bundles of work and have long term contracts to perform servicing, exams, modification and refurbishments. The doors are now open for experienced Rolling Stock professionals from an electrical discipline to join the new kid on the block!

The Candidate:

Are you smart, savvy and enjoy the responsibility of organisation? You will have experience of working in an environment which involves manual laboring and organising of materials as well-being competent using a Fork Lift Truck and have a license to demonstrate this.

The Role:

Up for a challenge? Great, lets tell you about the role! Your key responsibility will be to ensure correct stock is in place for the Fitters and Technicians who work in an engineering environment and require materials to carry out work on trains which are based in the depot.

Requirements:

If you’re loving the sound of this, here’s what you need to be in with a chance for the role! Experience of working in a warehouse, depot, stores environment. Physically fit, able to lift heavy materials, show willingness and have a positive attitude towards work whilst assisting your colleagues and hold a valid Forklift Truck License which is a MUST to be considered for the role.

Rate of Pay & Hours of Work: £15 - £20 per hour (Depending on experience) per hour. Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.
