Role: Structural Engineer
Location: Oxford
Salary: £25,000 - £40,000

I am looking to place a Structural Engineer with between 2 and 5 years in industry in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancys Oxford office. The firm has operated in engineering for 40 years, expanding beyond Structural Engineering to include Geotechnical, Civil and Environmental and Architectural services. The firm has completed over 20,000 projects and has an excellent reputation with project values running into the hundreds of millions of pounds.

Generally speaking, the firm has incredibly low turnover, but a house-move and office transfer for a member of staff has left a gap in the firms Oxford office. They require a Structural Engineer with a few years in industry who would be capable of running their own small to medium design projects and managing their own designs without too much supervision. The current project portfolio covers a range of refurbishment/heritage projects, multi-storey residential/commercial mixed-use developments, student accommodation, and even projects that can be considered as purely artistic.

The successful candidate can expect to be managing a range of their own projects in fairly short order, with employees actively encouraged to take ownership of their workloads. In return, the firm are offering a competitive salary and more junior employees have an exceptionally high pass rate in the Institution of Structural Engineers' Chartered Membership Exam and many engineers pass the Institution of Civil Engineers' Professional Review at their first attempt. Job Requirements:

• Relevant experience in Structural Engineer (2-5 years)
• Relevant education in Structural Engineering
• Relevant experience of wide variety of Structural design projects (Commercial, Residential, Heritage, Healthcare, Education, etc)
• Desire to work towards managing own projects
