My client has an opportunity for a Structural Examiners in the Durham area on and permanent basis. Our client specialises in civil engineering, covering groundworks to structures and bridge refurbishment. This is a permanent opportunity in the Durham area. Offering a great salary and package.

Your Key responsibilities will be to: -

Carry out examinations and collate information related to rail structures, related to NR examination standards NR/L3/CIV/006. Also, examination reports.

Have complete responsibility of all findings and record these and store electronically with evidence sketches, photographs etc.

Observe, locate and identify structural issues and proposal a plan of action, in cooperating all resources, labour and plant required.

Work alongside the Work Delivery team and ensure that site work is completed within safety regulations and within the time scales given.

Taking the appropriate action where it is identified that there is a serious defect which pose an immediate threat to the safety of the public or rail traffic in accordance with company procedures.

Key Skills and Experience: -

Previous experience in construction and building regulations.

Within multiple construction disciplines and job values

Technical knowledge across multiple disciplines

Tendering and delivering projects of varying values

Construction engineering

Current knowledge of COP’s and legislations

Qualifications

HND / HNC Structural or Construction Engineer

PTS (Personal Track Safety)

SMSTS

CSCS Level 5 – or equivalents
