Job Description

• At least 8-12 Years’ of work experience on Rolling stock /Loco/Train HVAC system
• Excellent knowledge on operation principles of HVAC system, Air ducts, valves and various elements in HVAC system
• Knowledge on HVAC design parameters like ambient temperature, solar load, Passenger Heat Load, car body heat transmission, minimum fresh air etc.
• Knowledge on HVAC sensors and controlling elements
• Knowledge on noise level controlling methods for interior and exterior of the coach
• Knowledge on HVAC system heating and cooling elements and selection procedures as per railway standards
• Knowledge on Air dampers, filters, ducts, grilles, fans and emergency shutoff switches
• Knowledge on assembly methodology/mounting methods of various elements in HVAC system
• Knowledge on material and fasteners selection as per requirements
• Knowledge on VPM/PDM documentation
• Work experience on sheet metal, A/C duct, welding and welding standards
• Knowledge on GD & T and tolerance stack-up
• Knowledge on railway standards
• Estimation of work packages / projects by input/sow study
• Technical leadership on assigned projects
• Responsibility on mentoring the team members
• Accountable for all committed Deliverables on day to day basis
• Technical review on deliverables with company process compliance and maintaining the defect free delivery
• Building the capability of team by knowledge sharing sessions, trainings with prior experience
• Excellent oral & written communication and able to communicate with customers from different global regions

Required Skills

• Excellent work experience on rolling stock /Loco/ Train HVAC system
• Work Experience on 3D modelling/Assembly and manufacturing drawing creation for railway industry as per standards
• Work experience on A/C Duct, pneumatic piping, valves, filters and grilles mounting methods
• Ability to present work executed at offshore to customer SPCs at onsite location
• Ability to define component and assemblies of sub-systems as per manufacturing & assembly concepts
• Knowledge on Tolerance stack-up analysis and recommend feasible solutions in accordance with manufacturing capabilities
• Ability to analyse and propose retrofit solution for existing design modifications on mechanical assemblies
• Capable of selecting appropriate fasteners for various assemblies
• Hands-on experience on CATIA V5 and PLM platform like Enovia to create 3D models, 2D drawings and product structure
• Knowledge on Rail industry and rail operators standards for various regions like DB, EN, IEC
