Are you looking to work on some of the rail industy's most exciting projects? TXM are working with the largest global manufacturer of rail vehicles to recruit a Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer
The suitable person will be an experienced systems integration engineer, with some direct knowledge of catering and sanitary systems installations. The personal skills of the candidate will allow them to support less experienced colleagues in domain best practice.
Your tasks
- Follow-up / update of the performance calculations
- Develop system concepts, update of Technical requirement documents and functional analyses
- Define, manage and follow-up all system interfaces
- Prepare and lead design reviews with the supplier, with other departments and with the customer
- Follow-up of system design and development with the supplier
- Participate to the creation of FMECA’s
- Creation of Scopes of supply
- Review of supplier deliverables / documents (CDRL)
- Analysis and evaluation of the customer specifications, standards and regulations;
- Perform system performance calculations;
- Write Technical requirement documents and functional analyses;
- Define the system concept and write technical descriptions;
- Write contractual technical documents
- Estimate technical risks and define mitigation plans
- Participate in the creation of leadership documents (work content, workload and planning)
- Evaluate technical offers from and select suppliers
- Prepare and lead design reviews with the supplier, with other departments and with the customer
Qualifications
- Languages: Proficient level of English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent is mandatory for this role
- Specialized knowledge in at least one of the following areas: integration/installations, pneumatics, fluids, heat transfer, material science, electrics / electronics is essential
- Good experience in systems engineering, ideally catering and/or sanitary installations (or physical integration engineering)
- System Architectural understanding is also mandatory for this role
- Some experience and hands on delivery of the design, analysis, development, testing and delivery of engineering solutions that solve complex requirements is highly desirable
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to use this technical knowledge in the support of other departments (engineering, production, procurement, projects) and the development of less experienced engineering personnel
- Good communication and problem-solving skills required.
