We are currently searching for a Systems Engineer to come and join us here at Aecom in one of our offices in the UK and focus on the Rail projects from a systems engineering perspective.
Aecom holds extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation systems — as well as restoring and replacing ageing infrastructure — to help our public and private clients find smarter, more advanced ways to move people across cities, countries and continents.
Ideally, you will be an Engineer with railway systems experience and will work as part of the Rail Assurance and Advisory team.
Job responsibilities include:

Development of System Engineering and Assurance plans and processes

Management of system definitions, technical requirements and system architectures
-
Support management of technical requirements using appropriate techniques and tools (i.e. IBM DOORS, ComplyPro)

Support safety and assurance management for projects (i.e. CSM-REA, EN50126)

Development and delivery of systems engineering processes to support customer requirements

Evaluate the interrelationship of system requirements and aspects of system design and development requirements

Develop scope of work and work packages with clients

Serve as the technical resource for the team/project

Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

Participates in the multi-disciplinary review of project deliverables.

Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

Prepares technical specifications.

Provides input to the development of the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Minimum Requirements
-
Engineering degree or equivalent
-
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
-
Railway systems and assurance experience
-
Knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations
