Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer (Requirements)

Role Overview:
As a Systems Engineer with our client, you play a vital role in our infrastructure team, specializing in rail projects. Your expertise in systems engineering is instrumental in the successful delivery of intricate rail infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include collaborating with diverse teams, analysing requirements, designing system architectures, ensuring integration, safety, and performance of rail systems, performing verification and validation tasks, and close coordination with clients and operational teams. Your technical proficiency, attention to detail, and adaptability in a dynamic environment significantly contribute to the success of our rail projects.
Under the guidance of your Line Manager, you will receive the necessary support to excel in your role and make a substantial impact on the projects you engage in.
Key Responsibilities as a Senior Systems Engineer:
- Apply systems engineering principles throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to delivery and operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse project requirements, develop system architectures, and define system interfaces for effective subsystem integration.
- Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and manage system requirements.
- Develop and implement system test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate functionality, performance, and safety.
- Perform verification activities to ensure correct implementation and integration of system requirements.
- Implement safety and assurance practices in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders for effective communication and coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in systems engineering roles within the infrastructure sector, with a focus on rail projects.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to rail systems engineering and safety.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
