We are currently dealing with a major rail engineering company, who are looking to expand their systems team by recruiting a Systems Engineer in London, Manchester, York, and Birmingham. This is a hybrid permanent role which will involve working on HS2. We are looking for experienced engineers who will be responsible for the verification and management of interfaces as well as providing validation services to clients.


Your job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring processes are in place to assess the quality of requirements.
• Ensuring the validation and verification of requirements are met on projects.
• Ensuring the systems competence framework is followed.
• Ensuring all projects have appropriately applied systems processes.
• Supporting managers and clients by translating specific engineering terms.
• Ensuring, throughout the whole project, the application of appropriate controls and technical assurance.
• Ensuring that both you and line managers complete safety checks.
• Ensuring staff are aware of how to stay safe as well as implementing training plans.
• Supporting the technical director to ensure overseas productions centres are aware of standards and guidelines.

 

To be considered for this job, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Knowledge and understanding of the DOORS Requirements Management System.
• Experience within requirements engineering.
• Experience of working within a systems engineering role within rail.

 

As mentioned above, this role can be based in either London, Manchester, York, or Birmingham, so could suit candidates in the London and Greater Manchester areas, Yorkshire or in the West Midlands.
