A fantastic opportunity is available for two experienced and highly motivated Technical Architects / Control Systems Engineers to join a leading technical consultancy firm that provides Airport IT and Baggage Handling System Consultancy services.
They deal with the delivery, management and engineering of large-scale Airport projects, principally working in the baggage handling and cargo environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for working within a team of like-minded individuals, providing technical design, consultancy and assurance services to our numerous clients.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Understanding our clients' requirements
- Design, consult and assure baggage related design, test documentation and installations
- Ensure our clients' requirements are fully addressed at each step through the project
- Attend workshops with clients and suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Witness and accept baggage IT and Control Systems on behalf of our clients
To be considered for this role you must be proactive and enthusiastic. The company are especially interested in speaking to candidates that have experience working in a technical role within an industrial logistics airport IT or automotive environment.
In addition, the following qualifications, key skills and experience are preferable:
- Engineering or IT Degree / HND / Other college equivalent
- Baggage Handling or Material Handling IT Systems or PLC Control Systems design or commissioning experience
- Exposure and familiarity with design development methodologies (e.g. V-Mode, Waterfall, Agile)
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Willing to travel (UK and international)
