TXM Recruit are looking for a Technical Engineer to be part of a growing specialist engineering company in the Midlands.
Role Summary:
Reporting to the Lead Engineers for Rail you will be working within the Engineering Department and responsible for the platform management, working on technical aspects of the product against customer specification.

Reporting to the Lead Engineers for Rail you will be working within the Engineering Department and responsible for the platform management, working on technical aspects of the product against customer specification.
Role Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the technical side of rail engineering design and modelling
- Provide expert advice on technical rail issues or faults
- Prepare and submit technical reports and studies to support the projects
- Travel to customer sites both within the UK and in Europe
- Produce technical documentation in line with customer FAI, ensuring the design process includes Design Brief, Method Statements, Risk Assessments
- Create test program for new developments at both system and component level
- Development of designs to satisfy technical specifications, using SolidWorks
Role Requirements:
- Good communication skills both written and verbally
- Driver's license held, must be prepared to travel to multiple UK sites
- CAD package experience, SolidWorks
