We are currently conducting a search for a German Speaking Tunnel Engineer for a major Tunneling contract in Northern Europe.

My client is a well respected and leading International contractor looking for a German Speaking Tunnel Engineer for lead role in one of their European projects supervising civil works, liaising with with the German HQ, design coordination, cost control, interface with client and management of site teams.

Job Profile:
The project is a large scale Rail Tunnel involving; Drill & Blast, Tunnel Linings, Hard Rock, Stabilisation, Tunnel Design and underground excavation.

This is a key position within the project where you will also be responsible for checking the designs and construction works across the project, ensuring execution of works on site are done to specification and standards, and will continuously interact with the Project Management.

Candidate Specification:

• Tunnel Experience in Europe
• Previous experience as; Project Engineer, Senior Tunnel Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, Site Manager
• Degree qualified B.Sc. in civil/mining engineer, and/or Masters Degree
• Fluent in GERMAN

The Tunnel Engineer must have a proven record supervising, organising and management of projects and construction of large Tunnel Projects.

The successful candidate shall be responsible for reviewing the project preparation and implementation activities of their client. You will be based on the project working with the sites as well as supervising, coordinating and monitoring the work of other supervisors in the team as well as those on the sites.

This project is a German speaking employer so German is essential. It will be on a Long term, permanent Contract basis offering 2+ years in this location and future work internationally.
