My client a Rail Organisation dealing with High Speed Rail is recruitng for a Environment Manager for its Birmingham office.
As an Environmental Manager, you will provide professional and technical support to assure compliance with environmental minimum requirements. You will ensure that the design and construction processes align with organisational and sponsor requirements, environmental commitments, and relevant laws and regulations. You will also guide environmental design solutions and integrate environmental considerations into project design.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assurance that design and construction meet environmental minimum requirements.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, environmental commitments, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Offer guidance on environmental design solutions.
- Ensure environmental issues and constraints are key considerations in project design.
- Complex problem solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex problems, review and analyse a wide range of data, evaluate options, and implement consistent solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of applicable UK environmental law and relevant construction regulations, including CDM.
- Commercial awareness, including understanding cost delivery, schedule targets, and delivering integrated solutions that meet all functional requirements.
- Proven experience in managing standards, engineering, and environmental activities on large, complex major projects/programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing project, engineering, and environmental demands with cost and schedule implications.
