East West Rail is one of the most exciting and high-profile infrastructure projects in the UK.

Building a new company and a new railway has brought the opportunity to recruit a Corporate Services Director who will lead, develop and drive all financial and associated systems for East West Railway Company.

If you are an experienced Finance Director (or able to be) with the ability to Inspire others and implement all the necessary financial process required for a complex infrastructure project; then we would like to talk to you.

Role Summary: Providing companywide leadership with specific responsibility for all aspects relating to the finances and associated financial planning, management accounting and control processes. Leading the corporate business services, including information technology, procurement and commercial management

The successful applicant will;

  • Establish financial, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.
  • Drive and create aligned view of business performance through consolidated reporting
  • Lead the finance team as they manage EWR Co.'s working capital and cash requirements, ensuring the liquidity of the business
  • Direct all procurement activities
  • Provide commercial support, including development and management of contracts
  • Ensure that all actions and agreements are undertaken with commercial and legal responsibility
  • Be accountable for overall system architecture and its effective implementation and operability.
  • As the EWR Co., Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) you will be accountable for the security of all EWR Co. data and reporting.

  • Excellent financial acumen and a track record in prudent financial control
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership, people and team management skills
  • Business performance management expertise (including strategy development, planning, budgeting and reporting)
  • Understanding of ERP system utilisation and maintenance
  • The ability to work within a complex stakeholder environment
  • The ability to develop high performing, delivery focused multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical skills
