As a business that is already well established within the UK Infrastructure market, NGE have worked on a number of the UK's most prestigious Major Projects and Alliance Partnerships in the last few years (inc' HS1, HS2, Crossrail, CRSA and Optical Fibre Deployment).

Together we are seeing rapid and continual growth, with a pipeline of existing and tendered projects and Alliances.

To support this growth and the development we are looking for an ambitious and innovative Finance Director to take charge of their UK subsidiaries, based out of their London Head Office.

As the Finance Director, you will report directly into the CFO, and liaise with main Stakeholders within the business and clients, including; Country Directors, UK Operation Manager, finance team, projects commercial managers, Regional finance controller, auditors, banks, tax administration.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of seven people responsible for general accounting and project accounting.
• Monitor the accountancy process and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standard
• Monitor the monthly closing process
• Supervise the preparation of the annual account reconciliation producing accounting statement and tax return.
• Prepare cashflow forecast and support anticipated project requirements
• Prepare country reporting pack including backlog, project profit and loss, Revenue, Costs, Margin, overheads and the analysis with comments
• Monitor project budgets vs actuals with variance analysis
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and tax authorities
• Introduce procedures that will enhance the department operations.
• Support other departments for any admin and finance subject.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• ACCA / AAT Qualified
• 10 years of experience in a similar position in an international environment.
• Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial management principles and practices.
• Solid leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in construction field.

Please be aware this Finance Director role is an office based role, with flexible working available but is not a remote / hybrid role. There will also be some requirement to travel to France, to regional and client offices.
