What is the purpose of this role?

  • To provide a wide range of business support services, including diary support where required, to a team of senior managers. This role ensures effective coordination of Business Support within a contract for senior management and Director.



What will this role involve?

  • Coordinate all business support duties in the department/contract to ensure delivery to deadlines
  • Coordinate travel logistics including trains, and accommodation for Senior Managers as required
  • Maintain and update systems within various management information systems
  • Proactively manipulate systems and run and collate reports as
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings including room booking, arranging agendas, preparing papers, ordering catering
  • Use the SAP finance system for raising purchase orders and invoice processing to payment
  • Undertake business support projects as assigned
  • Assist in the delivery of client services as appropriate
  • Proactive decision making within the confines of the responsibilities
  • Diary support for Senior Managers as appropriate
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • To present a professional image to all staff within the business as well as external contacts
  • Act as the key liaison person for the department/contract
  • Disseminate information to other team members to ensure delivery
  • Operate independently and as part of a team
  • Undertake general ‘team’ administrative duties as and when required
  • Distribute and share information internally to ensure customer needs are met
  • Receive and disseminate information to other team members to ensure delivery
  • Maintain office systems in an orderly manner
  • Assist with the delivery of services to the client as prescribed by team leader/management



What are we looking for?

What makes this role unique?

Our Rail team has grown over the past few years to be one of the largest and most diverse rail organisations in the UK. From our base in Treforest and Taffs Well, we are moving into the infrastructure construction stage of the multi-million pound CVL Transformation Project. To help deliver this project, we are looking to recruit management and operational staff in, OHLE and power, signalling and telecoms, P-Way and civil engineering disciplines.
