The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced are currently seeking a Project Technical Manager to join a recently awarded Aircraft Apron Construction Project in Georgia. The role shall be working for a leading European Consultancy on behalf of the end client carrying out the construction supervision.
Key Responsibilities
As the Project Technical Manager, you will:
- Oversee the technical supervision of aircraft apron construction, ensuring compliance with international aviation standards (ICAO, IATA) and local regulations.
- Lead and manage the project team, including engineers, inspectors, and support staff.
- Ensure the contractor's adherence to the project specifications, quality standards, safety protocols, and timelines.
- Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address technical challenges and optimise project outcomes.
- Maintain strong communication with the client, contractor, and relevant authorities to ensure alignment and smooth project execution
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in aviation-related projects.
- Proven expertise in supervising aircraft apron or airside construction projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international aviation standards (ICAO, FAA) and civil engineering codes.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in the Caucasus or Eastern Europe.
- Fluency in Georgian or Russian.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
Salary Package:
The salary package is flexible depending on experience but shall be of an expatriate standard.
