Location: Manchester with remote based working
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 negotiable dependant on level of experience plus core benefits

Role Summary
A leading engineering consultancy, providing diverse project opportunities across all sectors of the engineering industry is looking to hire an Associate Director to lead the OLE team in Manchester which will include work load planning, work winning and project work.
The project work will include acting as the Responsible Manager for OLE jobs and also having Engineering Management capabilities to oversee multi - disciplinary projects.
As the OLE Manager NWC, responsibilities will include leading team briefings, applying technical initiatives to improve quality, standards cascades and undertaking Performance Reviews for individuals.
The role will require experience of OLE design and will include acting as the Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) for the delivery of multi-disciplinary schemes nationwide as well as in the capacity of a Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE)
Acting as the CEM, the individual will co-ordinate multi-disciplinary schemes, working closely with the respective discipline Contractor's Responsible Engineers as well as with all key stakeholders associated with the project.
Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of railway OLE throughout the engineering process from project inception to delivery, specifically on Network Rail Infrastructure.
- Previous experience in leading teams and undertaking performance reviews with staff
- Previous CRE experience in rail projects
- Demonstrable experience in the performing the role of the Engineering Manager on high profile projects.
- HND / HNC / Degree Qualified in a relevant subject.
- Ensure the design teams understand, apply in design and are advocates for a Common Safety Method (CSM) approach on our projects.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices and construction methodologies and the ability to consider/define requirements within design development.
- Knowledge of system interfaces which impact on track design principles and demonstrable experience if the successful management of interfaces within design experience.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations, preparation of technical reports and knowledge about project management.
Desirable
- Previous Contractor's Engineering Management experience in rail projects
- Chartered Engineer with a relevant professional body
