Building Surveyor in City of London, London, United Kingdom
The Building Surveying team look after planned maintenance and refurbishment schemes for Network Rail's commercial estate. This includes railway arches, free standing commercial units and residential properties. Responsibilities involve managing numerous minor work projects, individually covering a value range of approx. £5K to £100K.
The candidate will provide expertise and advice to deliver a programme of Maintenance, Renewal and Minor Capital Investment works. You will support management of the Property Portfolio to ensure assets are inspected, examined and maintained.
The ideal candidate will be:
• MCIOB / RICS affiliated
• Able to demonstrate experience in identification of building defects
• Able to generate scopes of works
• Have experience in managing a team of maintenance contractors working under a schedule of rates
• Be able to apply safety legislation to site works, including CDM Regulations and control of asbestos
Track side working is not required, but an understanding or previous experience of such would be an advantage, as would a current Personal Track Safety competency.
